Bernhard Loeschen and Drink of Choice

Reverend Bernhard Loeschen’s father thought sugary soft drinks were bad, and he did not want his children drinking them. He preferred that his children drank beer, a German cultural staple. As a boy, Pastor remembers traveling with his father to Champaign for a Farm Bureau meeting. On the way home they stopped for a cold glass of beer.
