Flora Giles Scott

Flora Giles Scott was born June 16, 1892 in Chatham, Virginia. She was the daughter of Samuel and Mary Agnes Giles. She moved to Danville, Illinois in 1903, where she met and was married to John Bailey Steward. To this union was born three children.

In 1911, she moved to Champaign, Illinois and united with the St. Luke Christian Methodist Church where she served as Church Clerk. In 1921, she became a member of Salem Baptist Church and worked diligently with the Ladies Aide Society, Circle #3, and as a Sunday School Teacher for the Adult Women's Class.

Mrs. Scott later married Deacon Ottowa Scott. She passed away in 1981.
