Danis R. Pelmore

Danis was born and raised in Champaign. He attended Central High School and graduated in 1987. From there, he attended Parkland College and earned a Certificate in Micro Computer Programming in 1989, before transferring to Illinois State University. He then earned an A.A., Applied Associates in Science from Heartland Community College in 1994, located in Bloomington. In 1995, he earned a B.A. in Applied Social Sciences in the study of Sociology from Illinois State University in Bloomington. He has also completed additional course work in the field of real estate.

Danis Pelmore is a Realtor for RE/MAX Realty Associates, located in Champaign. He is an independent agent who serves the needs of the community in the real estate market. He is also a Systems Technical Analyst, providing support for Tivoli Storage Management (TSM) backup and restore product for State Farm's nationwide computer infrastructure of 75,000+ servers and 110,000+ workstations. He has been employed with State Farm Insurance for over 14 years.

Danis is currently Vice President of A&R for Double O Entertainment Midwest Region, a multi-faceted music/management/entertainment company based in Washington, DC. They specialize in Artist Management, Music Production, Artist Development, Production Placement, and Promotions (Parties, Clubs, Special Events), with a full Recording Facility (Fully Equipment Pro Tools Studio).

Danis is the current President of the Champaign/Urbana Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated. He has been involved in both the Bloomington/Normal and Champaign/Urbana communities, where he has assisted with a variety of programs. He currently serves on the regional board for elections and voting for his fraternity. He is also on the Community Advisory Board for Busey Bank, a position he has held for the past seven years. He has previously served on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County, from 2015-2017.

Danis is married to LeVette Harmon-Pelmore, who teaches at Stratton Elementary School in Champaign. He is the proud father of three children: Adriannah, Danis Jr., and Lyndon, and grandfather of one, Eriana Williams.
